I am a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina, where I received a BFA in Printmaking with a double major in Art History. My main body of work consists of prints that I create using intaglio processes, using small copper plates with intricate designs that are derived from visual memory and drawn intuitively. I also have branched into paintings that often have designs similar to my prints, which are produced using 30+ layers of acrylic paint that are then carved. These paintings form my "Strata" series, which will be exhibited June 7-12, 2012 at Vista Studios/Gallery 80808 in Columbia, SC.
